Nature of business

Manufacture, marketing and supply of pharmaceutical products

Objective

Our aim was to inform and engage 3,500 people in the clinical development function of AZ during the launch and post-launch phases of a major business-wide restructuring.

Audience

We had to reach 3,500 employees in clinical development based in UK, US and Sweden – many of these were medical doctors.

Geographical Spread

UK, US and Sweden.

Media

We facilitated a range of manager-led workshops and larger site gatherings, backed by interactive workmats, interview-based video, a project-specific intranet site, a range of presentations and speakers’ notes, together with a poster, handbook and accompanying newsletter.

Programme

On this project, we worked alongside behavioural change consultants (CLC) and strategy consultants (McKinsey and Andersen) to develop and produce a comprehensive communication package suitable for roll-out simultaneously by managers in the three designated countries.

We also supported the implementation team in collating questions and answers via intranet site and, after that, codifying key changes within a follow-up handbook and buttressing the process through interactive workshops.

Comments

AstraZeneca is now a member of the Intranet Benchmarking Forum (IBF), the brainchild of TEG and consequently, in accordance with our stated policy on the IBF and consultancies, we no longer supply them with services. except as part of their agreed IBF package.
